How Stonoview works
For neighbors looking for help
No account needed to book: just your name, email, phone and the address. Browse the business directory, open a listing, and pick a service. If the business takes cards, you pay right there through Stripe; Stonoview holds the money and releases it to the business once the job is done. If they take cash, you send a booking request and settle up when they do the work. Either way you'll get a confirmation email, and the business will reach out to schedule.
Coupon codes are entered at booking. Each code is good once per household — we check the service address and email so a discount can't be reused.
For neighbors running a business
- Create a free account and fill in your business page: what you do, prices, contact info, service area.
- Choose how you want to be paid: cash only, card only, or both. Card payments need a quick Stripe setup (bank account, ID) so payouts go straight to you.
- Add coupon codes whenever you like — “first visit 20% off”, a code for the street party flyer, whatever works.
- Listings are free until January 1, 2027 (launch offer). After that a listing is $5 a month, cancel anytime.
Fees, plainly
- Listing: free until January 1, 2027, then $5/month.
- Card payments: a 5% + $0.30 service fee is added to the customer's total at checkout. The business receives its full price. Stonoview holds card payments and sends them to the business once the job is marked done, so nobody pays for work that didn't happen.
- Cash payments: no fee. That's between you and your neighbor.
